ADDITIONAL THERAPIES
ADDITIONAL THERAPIES
It's important to emphasise that these therapies are effective only when used with the appropriate exercise programs and rehabilitation protocols; they complement these treatments. Personalised application is crucial for their overall effectiveness.
Dynamic Tape®
Dynamic Tape® is a new and innovative tape that, thanks to its nylon and lycra materials, effectively modifies and reduces the mechanical load on injured soft tissues. Due to the unique materials of both the tape and the adhesive, it can remain on the skin surface for several weeks, even during water sports or high levels of sweating. In addition to sports injuries, it can be highly beneficial in treating various orthopaedic, rheumatologic, and neurological conditions.
Kinesiology Tape
Kinesiology tape is a colourful, highly flexible tape with a high cotton content that, when applied correctly, can provide some beneficial effects. It can aid in pain relief, promote faster absorption of swelling and hematomas, improve proprioception, enhance blood and lymph circulation. It is used on appropriately prepared body parts treating muscle strains, sprains, and injuries associated with fluid accumulation.
Flossing
Flossing is a treatment where a suitably strong elastic band is applied to the targeted area in an appropriate manner, followed by various movements to enhance its effects. It is a useful complement in cases aiming to increase joint range of motion, improve circulation, or alleviate pain.
Cupping therapy
Cupping therapy involves creating a vacuum in the affected area, thereby lifting the skin and underlying tissues. This increases blood circulation in the treated area, which aids in the body's self-healing processes. Additional beneficial effects include muscle relaxation, pain relief, and temporary increase in joint range of motion. When combined with physical therapy, cupping therapy can lead to lasting improvements.
Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization
It involves relaxing and mobilizing specific parts of the body using an ergonomically designed tool, resulting in muscle relaxation and increased elasticity of connective tissues. Properly performed treatments can improve blood circulation in the targeted area, reduce tension and spasms, and aid in restoring tissue elasticity and mobility. These procedures are beneficial supplements to therapies aimed at increasing range of motion and alleviating pain.
Physiotherapy equipment
In our clinics, we have a range of equipment available to provide the necessary challenges during various stages of rehabilitation through physiotherapy. These tools are utilised to regain mobility, strength, and functionality.
Hand and wrist rehabilitation
Our continuously expanding toolkit includes a variety of tools necessary for hand and wrist rehabilitation, essential for regaining strength, range of motion, and fine motor skills. From the early postoperative period to the end of rehabilitation, these tools help ensure appropriate difficulty and challenge to regain functionality effectively.
Scar tissue treatment
Treating scars, especially those on the hand and wrist following surgeries, is crucial because untreated scar tissue can adhere, leading to pain, reduced range of motion, and swelling. To prevent adhesions, we use various manual techniques, complementary treatments, and special creams.
NRX®
NRX® is a suitable choice for both sports and everyday life. It is the perfect solution for joints that require more than a kinesiotape and less than an orthoses.
By using NRX®, precise correction can be achieved without obstructing physiological movements. Prolonged immobilisation can lead to unfavourable movement patterns, muscle loss, and reduced blood and lymph circulation, which can slow tissue healing. NRX® allows for pain-free freedom of movement while stabilising and correcting according to its intended function.
